Home Decor: The Living Room

Hello beautiful friends!

Im so excited to share our living room now that it’s all done. I’ve shared it in bits and pieces before but it is fully done and Im not adding anymore so let’s get into it! Linking all the pieces I can find below so y’all can shop 🙂

First off I added this tray with some decor on it for a little elegant touch to the room, this faux white rose bouquet, the tray, and the coasters are from Home Goods, the clonche is from Crate & Barrel, and the diffuser was gifted from a Rituals [one of my favorite lifestyle brands!] & I change my candles out so much that I can’t say which is my favorite but these Bath & Body works ones are perfect for daily burning.

Our frames are all from Desenio, and my couch is from my previous apartment and I got cushion covers from Amazon to change it up. The plants we got from Houston Garden Center and they are all real, and the planters we got from Amazon, HomeGoods, and Ikea! Under the coffee table we have 2 baskets that we keep some tech stuff in like chargers, etc. and I used to have my coffee table books on top of the table but honestly we kept moving them so I just decided to keep them under. Coffee table is Ikea, the throw is from Target and the area rug is from Wayfair and is on sale!

Above the balcony doors we have an Islamic art piece by Sukar Decor that totally completes the space, it’s a verse from The Quran that reads: (18:39) “And why did you, when you entered your garden, not say, What Allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah?” such a beautiful piece! The chairs are from HomeGoods as well.

Because we got this place before we got married, it didn’t make sense to refurnish the place because we had so much existing furniture in both Zain’s old place + my apartment in the past so we combined what we had and figured out a way to style the living room around it. This was such a good idea honestly because we saved a lot + consumed less so win win! We also didn’t have a vision of what we wanted this space to look like, because our previous rug was a teal I got teal velvet cushion covers and added blue’s and teals to the frames so we stuck with that for the accent color, and I love beige and white, so that’s where my previous lighter toned furniture contrasted with the black furniture. We also thought to add woods for frames so when we thought of planters I loved the basket look and added the storage baskets under the table to complement all of the wood going on. I love how it turned out, and I feel like when you don’t have a set vision, you’re open to whatever and are able to work with so much more. Hope y’all like the setup, you can shop everything below 🙂
