Hi loves!
You guys know I share a lot of makeup tutorials on my Instagram stories and recently I did a tutorial in collaboration with Colourpop Cosmetics (!!) and got questions on makeup for beginners and what products to buy so here is what I recommend, what I started out using, and a few tips and tricks if you like my style of makeup!
I know a lot of people say this, but for your makeup to look good your skin has to be on point, and that’s key! Let me know if you guys want me to do a skincare 101 for beginners and I’ll do that, but on to the makeup!

Products You Should Buy:
Mascara – L’Oreal Voluminous
Concealer – Maybelline Fit Me (I use this everyday!)
BB Cream – I haven’t found a drugstore bb cream that I love but the Tarte BB Cream is amazing
Foundation – I recommend starting with concealer and gradually adding foundation to your routine for heavier looks but Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is good!
Powder – Rimmel Stay Matte or Elf Translucent
Blush – Milani Baked Blush!
Lippies – Anything by NYX! I use Soft Spoken daily
Eyeshadow – Colourpop!
Brows – Glossier Boy Brow I wish they had when I started makeup! Such an amazing, easy to use brow product
Eyeliner – Kat Von D tattoo liner is my all time favorite & I practiced with it from the very beginning
Tools You Should Buy:
Sonia Kashuk Brushes – By far the best brushes for beginners! I still use her brushes til this day and the quality is wow.
Sonia Kashuk Blender Sponge – 2 for $7 and they’re better than the real beauty blender, I use these today too.
Eyelash Curler – Elf Cosmetics
Brushes – Elf Cosmetics blush brush is awesome!
Sephora – If you’re wanting to spend a little more and want quality brushes then def. Sephora Collection brushes are awesome!
Zoeva – High end but for eyeshadow if you try out the minis, they’re so good!
Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner – Wish I knew about this sooner! So so good for instantly cleaning brushes, but def recommend running them through hot water after.
Hope you girlies found this post useful! Dont forget to tag me in your new makeup looks if you post and email me for any other questions! Xo.
