My Bridal Shower

Hi my loves!

Welcome to the first post of my wedding series here on the blog!! So super excited to share my preps with y’all and help out any brides, bride-to-be’s, newly engaged girls, or anyone whose interested in weddings! I’ll be sharing my experience, what I’ve learned, what I wish I knew, and a little BTS of my events! These posts are going to be long but y’all voted for details so that’s what you’re going to get πŸ™‚

This past weekend was my bridal shower and it was so beyond my expectations, my sister and cousins did such an amazing job of hosting it and everything was so perfect! I do want to mention that I’m actually not getting married for a while but since my sister is moving to NYC and won’t be back in town for a while we decided to have it a little early.

In this post I’m going to give y’all details of the shower and where my sis and cousins got everything + where I got my dress- none of this was sponsored except the balloons but as always, 100% honest reviews!

So what I did was create a private Pinterest board with bridal shower ideas where I pinned all my inspo and shared with my cousins and sister, they basically took the ideas from there and put it together to create the perfect shower! I loved the white and green spring/summer classy look so I’m so happy they opted for that, and with touches of gold it looked beautiful!

The welcome sign was a Pinterest inspo as well but designed by my sister and brought to life by a family friend here locally! If you’d like her name just email or DM me on Insta πŸ™‚

The balloons were from Divine Creations HTX and they did such an amazing job of bringing our vision to life! Again, from a Pinterest pic, they took the inspo and got it spot on to create the most beautiful garland for the grass wall and 3ft balloons with vines along the bottoms for the entrance sign and dessert table. Definitely recommend them for any parties!! If you’re in Houston, you get 10% off if you mention my name! πŸ™‚

I also loved the grass wall look with white balloons, I saw this on Instagram and Pinterest a few places so I shared it with the girls, as well as the dessert table cake and desserts which was also Pinterest inspired and looked even better in person! The grass wall was rented I believe and the balloons were by Divine Creations HTX.

These favors were so unique and my sister did so good finding and putting them together! She made a concoction of bath salts (a combo of epsom, himalayan pink, and others) made them herself btw – and put it in these bottles and attached little tags for each of my friends. Along with this she found fragrance sachets that smelled divineee, and I handwrote thank you notes for each of my friends! I also gave my Save The Date cards that day too (on insta if you want to see!)

For the food we had my favorites, for appetizers sandwiches from a local Houston spot called Cillie’s, and the main dishes from Fadi’s in Sugarland. The little details were honestly what made it so enjoyable like the cutlery pouches my sister found and made, the chalk stands that had the item of each name on it, the make your own mimosa bar and dessert table. She got all of the decorative stuff from Party City and it matched my theme perfectly! For the dessert table, my cousin made a donut hole tower which was so so cute and so good, we had macaroons and cupcakes, and the cake was also a recreation of a picture shared and made by The Cake Stop by ZB and the white rose and leaves topper (100% edible) was made by Sugar Artist Studio and looked beautifull!! Tasted and looked amazinggg!

For my outfit, this was so hard because I wanted something I don’t normally wear, but something classy and modest at the same time that was still bridal. Everywhere I looked it was either too open for my taste, or too similar to something I already owned. I found this dress when a friend of mine mentioned this site to me called Flory Day! It seemed really sketchy so I picked out a few items and opted for express shipping since I was worried it would take a month to get here lol, and when I got it I was so pleasantly surprised! I ordered 2 dresses and one didn’t work out but this one was beyond perfect, the quality was amazing, the fit was perfect, and it wasn’t see through (my main concern). I definitely got lucky with this but for the price It was definitely worth it. I wore this dress with my nude Louboutins, and a bride to be sash that my sister got for me πŸ™‚ I’ll link the dress below so if any of you want it you can order – check the measurements for sizing!

Towards the end of the shower my FiancΓ© Zain came and surprised me with the most beautiful bouquet of my favorite white roses, and it was honestly the cherry on top of the most perfect day! Thank you to my sis for coordinating the surprise as well, such a sweet end to the day <3

I also shared some of the gifts I recieved on my Instagram – you can find them under my bridal shower highlight, and some pictures on there too! The rest are all on here so I hope you guys enjoy seeing these as much as I loved it, and please say mashAllah :*

Again, a huge huge thank you to my sister and cousins for hosting the most perfect bridal shower for me, it was beyond a dream come true and the perfect way to kick off my wedding celebrations! & thank you to all my friends for coming, to the ones who drove from San Antonio and Dallas, and for all the amazing gifts <3 I definitely was showered with so much love this past weekend and am so beyond grateful. Stay tuned for my next wedding series post!
