Travel Diaries/Lookbook: New York, New York

Hi my loves!

I just came back from such a fun weekend trip to New York City, and y’all wont believe this but I actually hadn’t been to New York in like, 10 years, before this.  &  since my sister moved there, it was the perfect opportunity to have a girls weekend and really enjoy the city. Since we didn’t do things the tourist way and discovered some great hacks, I’ll share them with you so you can beat the lines and still get the same experience in a more local way like we did! 🙂

But first off, let me share my looks for the weekend with y’all. If you’re not interested in the itinerary then you don’t have to read this all the way, but if you are just keep scrolling!

P.s. linking everything below the images!

For the things we did/saw, I did so much research and curated a itinerary that had each thing we wanted to do by days, but I split it up by area. I’ll list the things we did by day and tips/hacks for things that we discovered.

Day 1:

Since I landed this day we only had half the day but still did so much!

-Midtown NY

-Lunch in Hell’s Kitchen

-Bryant Park

-St. Patrick’s Cathedral

-The Rockefeller Center: So the Top of The Rock is such a famous attraction, however when we went it was sold out but we figured out that there was a bar on the 65th floor that has the same exact views at the Top of The Rock, so we headed up to the bar and they allow you to go on the rooftop and take pics and everything so that’s what we did! Totally free, and barely any tourists.

-Dinner at Halal Guys – don’t really recommend, not so good but if you must try the original one is by the Starbucks!

Day 2:

-Coffee N’ Clothes: Designer Latte’s – so fun!!

-Showfields: attached to Coffee n’ Clothes but the most amazing place I’ve ever seen, start at the 3rd floor and make your way down!

-Flatiron Building

-Brunch at Maison Kayser

-The Met Museum

-Boating in Central Park

-Shopping in Harold’s Square

-Dinner at NOMO Kitchen: make a reservation ahead of time! So so good

Day 3:

-Columbia University

-Lunch at Serafina

-Biking through Upper East Side

– Guggenheim Museum

-5th Avenue Shopping

-The Oculus

-9/11 Memorial

-Battery Park

-Dinner at Gardenia Terrace

-Times Square by night

Day 4:

-Coco Jadore Restaurant for Brunch: Chanel inspired restaurant in Chelsea

-Starbucks Reserve

-Chelsea Market

-The Highline

-Dumbo, Brooklyn

-Biking in Brooklyn Bridge Park

-Headed back to the city and visited Broadway st.

-Bar Pitti for dinner: Amazing Italian food!!

-Spot Dessert Bar: you have to go. SO good!

-Washington Square Park at night
